Prescription Drug Discount Cards
Health care for cost of prescriptions and lack of insurance was the number one need listed on the CommUNITY Rock County-wide assessment in 2006. United Way of North Rock County is now offering the FamilyWize prescription drug discount card. For those eligible, use of this card is a simple way to keep down prescription drug costs.
Fifteen to twenty percent of the population– one in five people in the United States – have no prescription drug coverage. Additionally, more than half of the Hispanic community and employees of small businesses have no coverage. Please pass the word on about this card! |

How it Works:

FamilyWize discount cards may be used for a prescription drug any time your prescription is not covered by insurance. FamilyWize discount cards are primarily for people with no health insurance or prescription coverage. However they can be used by anyone on a prescription not covered by their insurance, Medicaid or Medicare.

Discount cards are available in English and Spanish.

One card is valid for all family members living in a household and is valid for five years.

People that are not U.S. citizens may use the card as long as it is presented at a participating pharmacy.

There is no income limit, age requirement, eligibility or registration required and no maximum allowable amount.

Stateline United Way also has the cards available in Beloit and the stateline area. For more information about participating pharmacies in that area call Stateline United Way at (608) 365-4451.
NOTE: The FamilyWize card in no way conflicts with the Rock County prescription drug card. If you have the County card, present both cards at your pharmacy. Whichever gives you the most discount is the card they'll use. |
